Ittingen Charterhouse - a former monastery - is today one of the leading seminar and cultural centres in Switzerland. Our guests have at their disposal a hotel with 68 rooms (3 stars superior), a restaurant, a bar in the former ox stables, various event locations with around 1,000 seats and 25 seminar rooms with up to 450 seats. In unique historical surroundings, we offer an incomparable setting for a variety of social and cultural events. In addition to the hospitality business, Ittingen Charterhouse runs an estate business with viticulture, a butchery, fish farm, market garden and cheese dairy, as well as a home and workshop for assisted employees. It also houses two museums and the "tecum" educational centre. In the restaurant we process and serve over 200 products of the highest quality from our own production. Ittingen Charterhouse was named a TopHotel by HolidayCheck every year from 2014 to 2023. We were honoured by ICOMOS Suisse with the special award 2019 on the occasion of the election "Historic Hotel/Historic Restaurant of the Year". Our philosophy and efforts in the area of sustainability were awarded the ibex fairstay label Platinum in 2022.
With this internship position, we are looking for a warm and sales-oriented personality who would like to expand their practical experience in one of the most versatile gastronomic businesses in Switzerland. Assignments are planned in all areas of classic gastronomy: Banquet, à la carte service, garden restaurant, seminar catering and events. If you are interested, you can also work in our winegrowing, cheese dairy, butchery, gardening/floristry, reservations and reception. With a lot of personal responsibility you will work in a very professional, guest-oriented and motivated team. You can expect varied and exciting tasks in a noticeably positive working atmosphere. Rooms for employees are available if required.
